CIRES-Ministry of Water and Forests Meeting: On Tuesday, June 3, CIRES met with the Directorate of Forest Production and Industry to discuss collaboration on the TIKA project. This project, which focuses on promoting clean cooking technologies, will help reduce reliance on firewood in rural areas, thereby easing pressure on forests. The Ministry of Water and Forests welcomed this initiative, recognizing its likely positive impact on the preservation of forest resources and its alignment with efforts toward conservation and the sustainable management of ecosystems. This collaboration will combine women’s empowerment with environmental protection.
